Update Your KanGuard IP Information
October 4th, 2007Sometimes it is necessary to change the IP information for your library to continue using KanGuard. If you are seeing “Access Denied” errors or are unable to connect to the internet through KanGuard, you may need to update your IP information.
To determine your current outbound IP, with KanGuard DISABLED, go to http://www.whatismyip.com and note the number. That is the IP number (or you will need to get the number from your ISP) you will need to enter into this form.
Special note: IP addresses that begin with 192.168.x.x are PRIVATE IP ranges and cannot be used with KanGuard. You will need to contact your ISP to get your public IP address if the only information you have is in the 192.168.x.x range.
If you do not know the subnet mask, please enter 255.255.255.0. Processing of these requests can take up to a week, so make sure that if you are making changes to your IP configuration you get them in ahead of time.
